scope
Terraces, pergolas, pavilions, ship planks, walkways and bridges as well as garden furniture made of local hardwood, softwood or tropical wood, e.g. Afzelia, Afrormosia, Bangkirai, Douglas fir, oak, Frameri, Ilomba, Iroko, Jatai, Kaori, pine, larch, Makroé, Meranti, Oregon pine, Radiata pine, Red cedar, Red narra, Redwood, Robinia, Sapelli, Sipo or teak.
Also for removing metal-related stains from wood indoors.
Not suitable for acid-sensitive surfaces!
Application
Pre-clean the surface. Protect adjacent surfaces not to be treated. Pre-wet the wood surface with clean water. Apply Dr. Schutz Entgrauer liberally to the surface using a metal-free plastic brush or a paintbrush and allow to work in for at least 10 minutes. Use a brush to vigorously work the remaining product along the wood grain. Rinse thoroughly with water (e.g., with a garden hose). Repeat the treatment for very stubborn dirt. Once dry, recondition the wood surfaces, e.g., with Dr. Schutz Terrassen Öl or Dr. Schutz Bangkirai Öl.
Notes:
- Protect acid-sensitive surfaces from splashes, e.g., cover with protective film. - - Avoid contact with metal during application. Use plastic-bonded brushes or plastic brushes if possible.
- If possible, do not use a high-pressure cleaner for cleaning, as this will roughen the surface.
- To remove permanent stains and discoloration and achieve a smooth surface, sand the dry wood further. Use metal-free and always sharp abrasives. Remove all sanding dust from the entire surface with a damp cloth (!) or rinse.
- For metal stains indoors, apply the product to the affected areas and, after 10 minutes of exposure, wipe thoroughly with water several times. Refinish the surface with the original finish. A lighter color may remain.
